I was super nervous to bring my dog Bear to the vet. He is a great dog but he does not like other dogs. The staff made sure to communicate when another animal was coming through the office and let Bear go to the back while the other dog left. Also, I was only in the office to check-in for a minute while they weighed him, so they do keep the office clear. Bear loves the cheese and whip cream they give him to make him less stressed during shots and nail trims. I highly recommend anyone here. The staff is great and very friendly. Dr. Shirley is great and never seems rushed. They answered any questions I had. I will definitely continue going here.
Very happy with Family Pet Health, PLLC! Everybody was more than happy to answer any questions I had. I never felt rushed. My dog adored everybody thanks to them each taking the time to say hi to her. Their prices are very reasonable. They go above and beyond what’s expected including calling to give me more helpful information. And I love that they have an app to keep me informed and I can earn points to get future discounts. I’ve been looking for a new vet closer to home and I hit the jackpot with Family Pet Health, PLLC. I highly recommend you check them out. You won’t be disappointed!
We’ve consistently had a positive experience at Family Pet Health. We’ve always brought our four guinea pigs here, never trusting any other exotic vet in Murfreesboro. Dr. Shirley is always very thorough and very considerate, taking the time to answer our questions and make sure we’re all on the same page. Calls made to the office regarding questions are always returned promptly, and after our guinea pig was seen for an illness, they called to see how she was responding to treatment. When our guinea pig had to be euthanized, everyone at the office was extremely kind. When we retrieved her ashes, we found that they had cut off some of our guinea pig’s hair for us to keep, and later we received a sympathy card with handwritten messages from those at the office. During the euthanization itself, Dr. Shirley was very kind and compassionate toward us and our guinea pig, giving us as much time as we needed with her and being sure to explain everything that would happen. The thoughtfulness of everyone involved has meant the world to us, and we’ll never take our pets anywhere else.
I started going here because it was five minutes from my home. I continued going here because they have provided the best care I have ever had for all of my animals. I’ve had the misfortune of having a dog with thyroid issues and seizures as well as a cat that was just recently diagnosed with kidney disease. They have always listened to my concerns and given me all of the knowledge they have so I can make an informative decision with how to proceed with my pets.
I really cannot praise them enough for how great they have been. My dog would quite literally pull me in front of a bus to get inside this building.
Great hospital with a wonderful staff. My cat was seen by Dr. Amy Shirley and my dog was seen by Dr. Sam Nieves. Both doctors were caring, listened to my concerns, and had great bedside manner. The techs and the receptionists are professional and helpful. I love that the whole staff is Fear Free Certified. It makes such a huge difference when you have a pet with a behavior disorder. Anybody with a reactive and/or fearful pet knows how upsetting it can be when the veterinary staff doesn’t take their behavioral issues seriously. I love that they do everything in the room with the pet parent (unless it’s something that has to be done in the back, like X-rays) and that they feed the pets treats throughout the exam to make it a pleasant experience. They also take extra precaution to make sure the lobby is clear before you bring your pet in, that way if your pet is reactive, you can safely bring them in. I thought their services were very reasonably priced and they make sure to give you the cost of any treatment before it is performed.
Family Pet Health is the pet care facility we have always wanted, but just recently discovered. All of the staff is caring and patient and professional. Our first visit with our new puppy was unlike any other veterinarian and facility we have ever used. We will always take our pup to Dr. Robinson and the fine staff at Family Pet Health.
I am so grateful to have a wonderful vet like Dr. Dunn in Murfreesboro to treat all of my scaley friends. He has been able to help us through a challenging wound on a tortoise that we’ve struggled with healing for an extended period of time. Dr Shirley already took care of my small furry exotics, no I can take my scaley friends to the same wonderful vet.
I can’t say enough good things about Family Pet Health! We just had our first visit and Dr. Dunn and the Vet Tech Kelly were incredibly kind and caring with my dog. My pit bull mix is quite the chaos goblin, but they were extremely patient, waiting out his barking and jumping for him to relax and get comfortable. They did everything in the room and were great about taking it slow and following his cues. I really appreciate the Fear Free approach – having treats and lick mats ready to help him get more comfortable and having the option to perform the exam outdoors in the outdoor exam space. Being a licensed veterinary technician and the pet guardian of a reactive and anxious pit bull it was worth every penny and the 30-minute drive from Nashville.
Can’t say enough about this vet!!! Every single person I spoke with was very nice, from calling the office to coming in. The receptionist very helpful & the vet was very sweet. They continued the courtesy after my visit as well & sent a card for my pet from all the staff with the nicest little notes! I’m switching my other pets to this vet as well!!
