Learn more about our plans:

Basic Wellness Plan

Ideal for young, healthy pets that don’t have any health concerns.

Fear Free Exams (2)

  • One Fear Free Annual Exam during which your pet is checked over for physical health, vaccines are administered and diagnostic tests such as heartworm screening and blood testing are offered. An annual exam also ensures we maintain our legally required Veterinarian-Client-Patient-Relationship to prescribe medications.
  • One Fear Free Medical Exam for those unexpected times your pet has an upset stomach, ear infection, or is itchy and needs some help to find relief.

Vaccines (core)

We all know that vaccines are essential to keeping our pets healthy and safe. Plans include three core annual vaccines: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo/Lepto combo vaccine, and Bordetella (kennel cough).

Fecal Screening

Parasite screening is essential not just to your pet’s health, but to yours and your family’s as well. Parasites can make pets very sick and can be picked up from their environment. Some parasites can also be transmitted to humans so it is important to ensure your pet is free of anything that can make them, or your family, sick. The CDC recommends checking a fecal twice yearly, or if your pet is experiencing stomach upset we might test a fecal to determine the cause.

Deworming

Along with fecal testing we recommend at least one yearly broad-spectrum deworming.

Heartworm and Tick disease screening

Pets that spend ANY amount of time outdoors, even if it’s just for a few minutes a day, should be protected against, and screened for, heartworm disease and tick-borne disease. Heartworms are spread by mosquitoes so all pets are susceptible, and tick disease can cause chronic long-term health issues. We require a heartworm test yearly for prescription heartworm preventions.

Intermediate Wellness Plan

Ideal for all pets.

*includes everything in Basic Wellness plus:

Behavior Exam or Telehealth consult

  • We are happy to talk to you about any behavioral concerns you have for your pet, whether they are at home or in the clinic setting. We have staff with a special interest in behavior who can help advise you.
  • If you aren’t sure you actually need to bring your pet in but need some advice, or your pet gets really anxious coming in and you have a minor issue you want to be addressed, you can request a telehealth consult with a Doctor or a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician

Urinalysis

Incontinence, frequent urination, accidents in the house, etc, can be an indication of a bigger problem. Urinalysis is a test that helps us determine if the behavior is medical and can be treated as such.

CBC and Chemistry Profile

  • A complete blood count (CBC) evaluates the cells that circulate in the blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The CBC helps assess your pet’s overall health and detect a variety of diseases and conditions such as infections, anemia, and leukemia.
  • The chemistry profile measures a variety of chemicals and enzymes in the blood to provide general information about organ health and functions, especially of the kidneys, liver, and pancreas.

Flea and Tick Prevention, choice of:

  • Simparica monthly oral tablet for fleas and ticks (12 months)
  • Simparica Trio monthly oral tablet for the prevention of fleas, ticks AND heartworm (12 months)
  • Seresto collar- 8 months of protection (rolling renewal through the life of wellness plan)

Heartworm Prevention

  • All dogs are susceptible to heartworms, which are spread by mosquitoes. The disease can dramatically reduce your pet’s lifespan, and treating heartworm-positive pets is expensive and takes months with some pets suffering long-term internal damage. Prevention is crucial. The plan includes the choice of:
    • Proheart injection lasting 6 or 12 months
    • Simparica Trio monthly oral tablet for the prevention of heartworms AND fleas & ticks (12 months)

Additional Fear Free Wellness Exam

  • One Fear Free Wellness Exam in which the medical team can assess your pet’s physical health and note any changes. If your pet is a senior, or on long-term medications, this is an especially important exam to monitor their progress and response to medications.
