The overwhelming majority of Family Pets in the United States are dogs and cats, but they are not the only animals that families across the country keep in their homes. Today we will hear from two veterinary professionals who have dedicated their careers to the healthcare of exotic pets. They will explain to us why it is so hard to find a veterinarian to treat pets from hamsters to hedgehogs and meerkats to macaws. Get ready to learn all that and more, on The Family Pet Podcast.
Dr.Nick Kirk is a veterinarian and is board certified in avian medicine. He and his veterinary assistant, Devon Blackburn, own Migratory Avian Services and treat exotice pets throughout Tennessee and Utah. They join the podcast today to share some their insight and experiences related to the veterinary care of exotic pets.
